About this role:

In this role you will have the opportunity to lead the development of high quality, and timely policy papers, submissions, research, discussion papers and resources on issues impacting on the health and wellbeing of LGBTI people, their families and communities, for internal and external purposes.

As the Policy Officer you will have a Broad knowledge of health and wellbeing issues affecting LGBTI people in Australia, outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills, and a proven track record in consulting with community, research, and delivering strategic policy.

About this role:

The National Coordinator, Education and Training Programs is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and evaluating education and training programs that enhance information, knowledge and support for the provision of inclusive practice for LGBTI people and communities. Current programs include Rainbow Blues, Practice Wisdom and Silver Rainbow but will extend to new programs which meet the needs of current and future health professionals, aged care sector workers, community workers, Government and peers. The National Coordinator will work closely with other Project Managers and Coordinators (Silver Rainbow, MindOUT and QLife) and will actively contribute to the day-to-day operations of LGBTI Health Alliance training and education.
