About this role:

A dynamic role providing policy development at a national level of the highest quality, leading on campaign development and stakeholder engagement of L,G,B,T and I organisations, communities and individuals.

The National LGBTI Health Alliance (“the Alliance”) is the national peak body of organisations and individuals working together to improve the health and wellbeing of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans/transgender, intersex and other sexuality, sex and gender diverse (LGBTI) people.

We have a vacancy for an experienced Campaigns and Policy Officer. In this dynamic role, you will provide strategic project leadership in the development of policy papers, submissions, research, discussion papers and resources on issues impacting of the health and wellbeing of LGBTI people, their families and communities. The ideal candidate will bring together their strong skills in policy development, stakeholder engagement, communication skills of the highest order, and a sensitivity to and an in depth understanding of the physical, social and mental health needs of LGBTI populations in Australia.

You are an experienced individual, highly motivated and with a demonstrated commitment to improve health outcomes, including community capacity building and human rights, for LGBTI people.
